Emerging from the depths of Ireland’s underground music scene, glasseyed has embraced a dark, aggressive, and mysterious sound from the very start - his entirely self-produced discography weaves its way seamlessly through genres such as shoegaze, grunge and trap while never straying too far from its focus on the raw fury of modern metal and hardcore. Armed with an occult aesthetic and gothic sensibilities, his sound and image is fit for venues and crypts alike.
2025 brought with it the release of the furious new EP 'death wish'. This collection of tracks pulls together influences from nu-metal, alternative rock and modern metalcore, melding with glasseyed's eclectic and production-heavy sound to create a blistering new chapter in his discography - filled with both radio-friendly choruses and chaotic breakdowns. On the back of this release, glasseyed brought his anarchic full-band live show to venues across Ireland - including an appearance at Ireland Music Week 2025 - and to London's Sebright Arms for his debut UK headline show.
Previously, 2024 saw glasseyed release his thunderous debut album, entitled ‘something new to hate’. Across its 13 tracks, the project drags listeners uncompromisingly through a slew of different genres, moods, and production styles - all the while maintaining a definite sense of cohesion through its conceptual focus on themes of anger and self-loathing. glasseyed’s talents as a multi-instrumentalist and musical polymath are on clear display here, with the only involvement from any outside parties coming in the form of guest verses from the artists Julia Louise Knifefist (USA/IE), STOiZY (UK) and Numb$kull (CA). The latter half of the year saw him venture further into modern shoegaze territory, with singles such as ‘all i know’ and ‘the great hollow’ earning him spots on numerous Spotify editorial playlists and receiving radio play on RTÉ 2XM and Dublin City FM.
Having already shared the stage with the likes of Bambie Thug, Layen_, Julia Louise Knifefist, and Silverglass, glasseyed is no stranger to a chaotic live show. With his sights set on 2026, glasseyed is gearing up to take the Irish and UK alternative scenes by storm.
With his roots as a drummer, Morgan Beausang’s solo material as glasseyed rose from the ashes of local Dublin metalcore outfit Rouen, with whom he released numerous singles and performed extensively with throughout the country. Deciding to take matters into his own hands, he began to record and produce his own music, merging influences from nu-metal and metalcore with the modern wave of moody, emo-tinged hip-hop and trap - ultimately creating his own unique blend of sonic brutality and lyrical angst. With worldwide collaborations with contemporaries such as Arrazane, Synsy, Julia Louise Knifefist and Rhoshi now under his belt and many more on the way, he is firmly fixed on his current path of aural destruction.
As a producer, engineer and multi-instrumentalist, Morgan has worked with numerous influential artists in the UK underground music scene (including ghostofblu, Synsy, Killmoore, and Jon Cass of As Everything Unfolds), as well as multiple major Irish artists (such as Isaac Jones, banríon, Henry Earnest and passersby). Tracks with his name on the credits have found their way into music publications and Spotify editorial playlists alike.
